To top it off, we arranged to have the carpets cleaned, through the company that the apartment owner requires, only to find out two days before we were going to move out that Rentmaster was trying to charge us to clean the tile as well, which was NOT in our contract. Imagine my surprise when I see that they kept and extra $30, a "cleaning fee", even though that apartment probably never looked cleaner. When we checked out the inspector told us it was rent ready, which according to their contract pretty much means you will get all of your deposit back besides, of course, the $50 they told us they would keep. My husband and I spent at least 48 hours cleaning an apartment that was probably built in the 1940s, the last tenants had definitely not cleaned it before we moved in so it was super bad already. If you are thinking of renting from Rentmaster beware.
